CUSTOMER IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM NOTIFICATION
In compliance with the USA PATRIOT Act, we are required to obtain, verify, and record information which will identify each customer who opens an account. An account is defined as a formal relationship with a broker/dealer established to effect transactions in securities, including, among other things, securities lending and borrowing activity.
Prior to establishing a securities lending relationship with a counterparty, we will ask for information that will allow us to identify the counterparty. We may also ask to be provided with documents of formation (e.g., articles of incorporation). We may be required to disclose this information pursuant to applicable laws, rules or regulations, but it will otherwise be retained in confidence.
Even if you have an existing relationship, we are required to follow our identification procedures when opening an account for you in a jurisdiction other than that of the existing account, or if the account is for a different legal entity.
